Biography

The defining constraint of enterprise AI has shifted, from what models can do to what institutions can trust them to do. Chris Duffey has spent his career building at that fault line: an enterprise AI product executive whose products are deployed where failure is not an option.
At Adobe he leads product, strategy, and delivery for AI and agentic platforms – including Firefly and GenStudio-class enterprise platforms supporting 27B+ model generations across 1,000+ enterprise customer teams in 35+ countries, with platform revenue scaled into nine figures, built in close partnership with engineering on shared platform infrastructure.
His approach to product making runs signal to ship: a fixed cadence that converts market signal into shipped product: prototype, pilot, packaged release – codified in his 4S operating model (Signal, Strategy, Solution, Ship), built to compress time-to-value, and applied to net-new product lines including the commercial infrastructure of trusted agents – verification, certification, metering, and monetization. Over the past decade this discipline has carried successive waves of enterprise AI from research into production: predictive systems, generative platforms, intelligent workflows, and governed agentic execution.
He is the author of Superhuman Innovation, in which he built one of the earliest published conversational AI models designed as a human–machine co-reasoning interface, and the originator of Admissibility Alignment, a decision-theoretic control architecture defining which AI actions are permitted under uncertainty – the control-plane layer that lets institutions embed accountability directly into the products they deploy.
Duffey has developed AI product leaders across three continents and advises global institutions on the responsible creation and deployment of AI at scale – advancing a simple conviction: the future of AI will be decided not by what it can generate, but by what institutions can trust it to do.
